Bangladesh Supply Chain Management Society (BSCMS)

The Bangladesh Supply Chain Management Society (BSCMS) is an independent association of Supply Chain & Logistics professionals and practitioners of Bangladesh. BSCMS members are business and professional leaders coming from local business houses, large multi-national organizations representing almost all the business and industry sectors where supply chain principles are already in practice or can be introduced for competitive advantage.

Officially launched on June 4, 2012, BSCS envisions “to becoming the leading platform of supply chain professionals and practitioners to make Bangladesh more responsive in all aspects of supply chain management”.

Supply Chain Management is a modern management philosophy. The concept has been well accepted by the developed nations and their businesses. In Bangladesh, Supply Chain Management practices are well embraced by MNCs, various international organizations and large local business conglomerates. However, for all types of organizations there remain ample opportunities to explore the benefits of effective supply chain management. Bangladesh Supply Chain Management Societyhas been working since 2012 to promote Supply Chain Management practices and lead initiatives for leveraging supply chain management opportunities in building a responsive Bangladesh.

The Bangladesh Supply Chain Management Society (BSCMS) is truly independent association run by the Members of the members for the Society. The Society is registered with the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies and Firms as a non-profit organization.

Key Activites:

Publish a monthly magazine named Bangladesh Supply Chain Reviewfocusing on regular supply chain issues and concerns.
Organize Supply Chain Excellence Award to recognize the achievements of the individual professionals as well as the businesses working for Supply Chain excellence.
Arrange Supply Chain Conference, Round table discussions, supply chain case completions, seminars independently, and in association with private and public partnerships to enhance Supply chain knowledge & facilitate decision makers across the country.
Offers training, seminar, workshops to develop the knowledge and competence in the Supply Chain Management area.
Offers a strong advocacy of the highest standards to develop the profession
Contributes to the development of the capital, human and intellectual infrastructure necessary to ensure that Bangladesh is internationally competitive in all aspects of Supply Chain and Logistics.
Enhances the opportunity to achieve career advancement and enhanced credibility through access to the latest information and networking with fellow professionals and practitioners.
